I failed my first and second NCLEX.

私が初めてNCLEXを受験した時に受かる自信があったかというとそうではありませんでした。それよりも自己流でやってきた勉強法でどれだけ自分が出来るかどうか試したかったという気持ちが強かったと思います。今回の記事ではNCLEXを最初に受験し受験結果とKaplanのQbank、practice testに関して少し触れたいと思います。

 

     When I took my first NCLE, I didn't have any confidence at all. I just wanted to make sure that what I was studying was good enough or not. In this article, I'd like to talk about the result of my first NCLEX, Q bank from Kaplan, and a practice test.

 

NCLEX受験後、48時間後に”Unofficial Result" という簡易式の結果をウェブ上で見る事が出来ます。（閲覧するのに＄7かかりました。知人によると時によってはここで不合格と出てても、”official result"では合格と出た場合もあったみたいです。)NCLEX受験後から二週間以内に”official result'が郵便で届きました。そこには最初のページに合格か不合格の記載があります。

 

     48hours later, I was able to know my "unofficial result" on the website. ( I needed to pay $7 for that. I heard from o
After 2 weeks later from NCLEX, I got an "official result" by mail. On the first page, I could see my result.

不合格の際には以下に写真を載せていますように、各項目の出来具合を見る事が出来ます。

評価としては

1) Above the passing standard

2) Near the passing standard

3) Below the passing standard

 

の3つに分かれていました。

 

     When I failed the exam, I got the evaluation of each section. As you see from my evaluation, there are 3 levels such as above the passing standard, near the passing standard, and below the passing standard.

 

以前インスタグラムにてKaplanのQbankに関する評価に対する質問を頂きました。KaplanのQbankは個人的によく出来ていると思っています。実際のテストと画面は全く一緒と言っていいほどです。しかし問題は色々な方向から聞かれて来るため、Qbankの問題を覚えるのではなく本番の形式に慣れていくというのに適していると思います。自分でNCLEXの勉強をしている方はいきなり問題を解くのではなく、まず教科書を読み医療英語と基本的知識を身に着ける必要があると思います。また問題の数をこなしていくと、徐々にNCLEX でよく聞かれるパターンに気づいていくと思います。テストを受ける半年ほど前にQbankを購入し、（Qbankは使用する期間に応じて支払う値段が変わってきます。）パターンに慣れながらそれと同時に必要知識を詰め込んでいきました。

 

 

 

I was asked about how I think about Q bank from Kaplan. I think the Q bank was pretty good. The display on the real test and display on Q bank was almost the same. Questions are asked in different angles, so you can use Q bank more like to adjust yourself to the real one not memorizing the answers. When you study NCLEX by yourself, I think it's better to study medical terms and basic knowledge first. After gaining the knowledge of medical terms, it's time for you to try questions like a real exam. After trying tons of questions, you'll realize some patterns that you'll be asked on the test. I paid for Q bank about a half year before the test since the price is different how long you want to use it.

 

ちなみにNSCBN(national council of State boards of nursing)のウェブサイトにてオンラインで２回模擬試験が受けれるものがあります。（＄140くらい）試験の出来具合のみ閲覧出来、詳しい解説などは一切見る事が出来ずにかなり金銭的に痛い思いをしました。それでもいいから本番前に実力試しにやって見たいという方は以下にリンクを貼っているのでご覧下さい。

 

 

I also paid for the practice test provided by NSCBN. I could only see the result and couldn't see any other details like explanations of each question.
I regretted that I paid for it. I pasted the link of this practice test in case somebody wants to try it.
